About the Game!
Hello! I'm SylvieCA, and I am currently working on an adult interactive fiction game in Twine!
My game, Witch's Brew, is an erotic, character driven, sandbox game where you take the role of a young witch just after the passing of her mentor. Get to know the townsfolk and create potions to help them or corrupt them. The game features themes of transformation and corruption while also including many kinky opportunities. Currently the game contains over 200,000 words worth of content, the equivalent of a short novel.
What is the gameplay like?
Witch's Brew is heavily narrative based and takes inspiration from games like Corruption of Champions as well as old point and click adventure games. As such, solving puzzles and figuring out how to achieve what you want play a role in gameplay but the bulk of the content is in choose your own adventure style scenes.

what are all recipe reactions and effects?
how do i get maggie breast to grow?
I like the concepts of the game. Corrupting the town is fun and I enjoyed figuring out the potions and ingredients.
But the tavern storyline is downright disturbing. Both the main character and Maggie are sexually harassed and assaulted, but that's not what I have an issue with. I'm not squeamish about themes of sexual assault. Even Derick the seemingly good tavern owner revealing himself to be a piece of shit by condoning the harassment and assault and blaming the women when they stand up for themselves is realistic, especially for the time period.
What's disturbing is that the writer treats it as if all women secretly want to be assaulted. Both the main character and Maggie begin enjoying the abuse. The main character even has a thought along the lines of "I guess all women have a naughty streak". Wanting to be harassed and molested by strangers is not a "naughty streak" and is definitely not something all women have.
I apologize if those scenes made you uncomfortable. I would like to reiterate that this game is not intended to be a depiction of reality (in any time period). The content of the game reflects fantasies, and in that instance, fantasies which I (a woman) enjoy but would not want to occur in real life. As such, the dialogue reflects certain kinks.
The entire premise of drugging people against their will or knowledge is reprehensible outside the realm of imagination. That being said, this game is a product of financial pressures which pushed me to make some additions which I personally do not find appealing, and so if I ever do return to regular development, I will take your concerns into consideration when editing existing dialogue.
So this is dead, then? Shame. I had high hopes for it.

Oh, new updates but I don't see any changelogs.
Hiya! This game feels great so far! I'm really enjoying myself on ver. 0.07. I've done a few quests so far that has allowed me to prgoress somewhat through the game, and I've notcied some bugs. If you corrupt Brendan completely before you get Maggie to Level 4, you get soft locked from Maggie's progression to higher levels of corruption, and also for some reason my game locked out an option of me having a potion with Cade.
How do i get past maggie corruption level 4
Is the game still in dev?
Half the text is outside the right edge of the game's area.
How do I even get Maggie to advance from level 4? I tried everything.
I think we would need something like a hint section of the game in order to have us less guess work on quests.
I get this error in red after walking through the town:
"Nonsense. You're here for the rumors, I know it." Brula interrupts. You have to admit that you are curious about what's going on in town. "Have you ever heard about the hermit who lives in the woods?"
Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<if>> clause: State.variables.hasVisited is not a function
"I'll see you later, Brula." You say, heading back home.
Me, too. There's also this kind of error on another event if the potion you spiked didn't work.
I liked this! Though, I may have to wait a bit more to have some bugs fixed and probably some hints available when trying to obtain new ingredients or on how it works.
Also, is corruption the only way to progress or if it's an alternate route?
I can't get Maggie past level 4 pls help

hey, i was wondering if there's any pregnancy or futa content? i haven't gotten all that far into the game to be honest so for all i know these things could already be added, but i was curious anyway
Hey glad you tried the game, there is currently some pseudo-futa content, but no pregnancy. These are both things I would like to add more of, but the game is also currently on hold due to IRL things taking up most of my time.

I think I've hit the content wall on everything I'm going to do in v0.06 except maybe corrupting Reya (she's at level 4 now and takes forever to level up since all the scenes I've seen with her only give 10 or 15xp).

How did ypu get past maggie level 4 corruption?
Just noticed that The Haunted Hospital is still in my quest log even though I met the ghost (avoiding details because spoilers) and hit the content wall on Searching for a Source already. I'm assuming that I've also hit Leah's content wall since I can't do anything but take her back to the hut for a date. Just finished the wedding and have Submissive Reya level 3. (v0.06)
Don't know if the early access build handles it, but it would be nice if the journal updated when you discover new ingredients and their effects.
Just noticed that trying to read Maggie's info under "characters" gives Leah's instead (version 0.06)
What does Marest Vine actually do? I've got 4 of them and they don't seem to have any effect combined with the ingredients and base I have (water, chamomile, ginseng, Lekkaroot, hornet venom, anima flower, and mesmer pollen)
Thanks for the feedback, I'm aware of that bug and It will be fixed in the next update. As for Marest Vine, it has no effect when consumed, but if you combine it with oil then it has greater effects. The quest to obtain oil begins after talking to Reya about the oil used early on in her progression. I am also working on making the journal more dynamic over time, as well as more accessible as a reference. Thanks for playing!
got it, I'm currently going through Leah's progression until I reach a content wall, so it'll be a while before I get the oil
This is pretty good. I look forward to seeing if this develops. I'm not so much into femdom or MtF but there seems to be enough otherwise to keep me interested.

Those forums a bit dead though - I'd suggest throwing in a quick breast expansion potion and putting this on tfgamessite & hypnopics collective; that would get this a lot more views.
Especially loved the Reya scenes; will definitely back this if it shows remotely regular updates! Until then will be watching this one closely!
Bugs (?):
There might be a bug there when asking her about the oil - the quest log doesn't update (though this may be just end of content).
Additionally, the ghost hospital city permission scene loops if you visit the farm and convince again (probably intentional, but when visiting the hospital itself there are no options except to leave). Ectoplasm is also not added to inventory.
When visiting Christian, there is no way to return - ie. lacks a go home prompt, can only converse.
It might be good to signpost end of content and/or if a scene is supposed to repeat going further - would make debugging easier. Alternatively, you might consider a repeat variation for scenes. Eg. "Once again you find yourself standing before ..." then copy paste the original dialogue with minor changes.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm hoping to eventually post it on those forums as well, once I add enough content for it to fit those themes. I'll have those bugs fixed ASAP through an extra bug-fix release and I'll add end of content tags where necessary. I hope you enjoy the upcoming additions!

I think there's already more than enough content to qualify it for hypnopics (in the form of the potions), and tfgamessite will accept literally anything with some transformation (eg. the cat scene); but it's of course your call!

Yeah, there's enough content for hypnotics. I was a regular and pure mind control was not a requirement for a game.
I have quite literally never commented on a game before but I just wanted to tell you that this is great and while it clearly has a few technical teething issues I absolutely cannot wait to see where it goes.
